About Us

Multicultural Church of Peace is a house of worship near Philadelphia in Plymouth Meeting, a place where people of every nation, language, and background gather as one family before God.

“After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb.” — Revelation 7:9

Our Story

For number of years, Multicultural Church of Peace was faithfully pastored by Pastor In Kon Yu, who laid the foundation of this house through years of prayer, sacrifice, and service. Upon his retirement, the Lord entrusted the work to the next generation.

In January 2026, Pastors Hoon and Sandi followed the Lord’s prompting from New Jersey to Philadelphia to carry the ministry forward. Today we are beginning again: an English-speaking congregation welcoming a diverse, multicultural community.

We are not building an institution. We are building a people: slowly, prayerfully, and on the Word of God by the Holy Spirit.

Our Pastors

Pastor Hoon was raised in a Buddhist household and spent ten years bound by drug addiction. At 25, a supernatural encounter with Jesus Christ changed everything. For over 18 years he has served in pastoral ministry in Philadelphia and overseas, among youth, foster students, the homeless, and the poor. He teaches the Word line by line, giving the narrative of Scripture by the Holy Spirit.

Pastor Sandi grew up in this church family as Pastor Yu’s daughter. She encountered the transforming power of the gospel in college, answered God’s call to ministry at 21, and has given over 23 years to pastoring children and youth. She is the founder of CYRR, a revival ministry to students.

Married since 2015, Hoon and Sandi share one vision: that people of all ages would encounter the presence of God, find freedom through the gospel of Jesus Christ, and be empowered by the Holy Spirit to live wholeheartedly for His Kingdom.
